Worldwide Box Office - "Town", "Social Network", "Paranormal Activity 2", "Eat Pray Love", "Other Guys" and more

It's been a while since my last worldwide box office gross update post, so I thought now would be a good excellent time for a roundup. This will include both milestones, as well as total worldwide box office gross news for The Town, Legend of the Guardians, Eat Pray Love, Paranormal Activity 2, The Social Network, Despicable Me, Resident Evil: Afterlife, The Expendables, and The Other Guys.

"The Town" -- Worldwide Box Office Gross Shoots Past $120 million
After thirty-nine days of release, The Town has earned just over $120 million worldwide at the box office, including an impressive $84.9 million domestically, and a strong $34.9 million international gross.

The Ben Affleck directed Boston Drama will continue its overseas roll-out in the coming weeks, and will soon and quite easily pass $150 million worldwide.

The $37 million budgeted film is a resounding success for Warner Brothers, as well as those involved, so it comes no surprise that the studio has been offering Ben Affleck various high-profile films to direct.

"The Other Guys" Box Office Gross Crosses $150 million Worldwide
The Other Guys worldwide box office gross passed $150 million sometime last week, resting at $158 million, $118 million of which came from domestic earnings. Internationally, the comedy starring Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell has taken in about $39 million, though its still fairly new in many overseas markets, its total will continue to grow.

The Social Network -- Worldwide Box Office Gross Passes $100 million
The Social Network, the movie directed by David Fincher, passed the coveted $100 million mark in worldwide box office earnings, just more than three week following its well-received debut.

The Sony Pictures release currently has a worldwide total of $106 million, $73.4 million coming from domestic locations, and $32.6 million through foreign sites. The Social Network will continue to be released internationally, and is still going strong in the United States, so we can definitely expect a substantially higher worldwide tally before it exits theaters.

"Legend of the Guardians: Owls of Ga'Hoole" Worldwide Box Office Reaches $100 million
One month following its release, Legend of the Guardians: Owls of Ga'Hoole's worldwide box office gross flew past coveted $100 million mark, nearly evenly split between domestic and international territories. The Zack Snyder directed film produced by Animal Logic, could very well still have a significant amount of flight in it.

Despicable Me' Worldwide Box Office Total Soars to $448 Million
After surprising nearly everyone more than one hundred days ago with a weekend opening of $56.8 million, Despicable Me has only continued to impress as it is just days away from crossing the $450 million mark worldwide at the box office.

The animated film has earned $247 million domestically, and just over $200 million internationally, and still has a lot of life left in terms of revenue at the box office, outside of the United States that is. Despicable Me brought in over $30 million overseas last week, and it has yet to open in more than a handful of territories, which means  its worldwide total will continue to grow in a big way.

Resident Evil: Afterlife Shoots Up $273 Million Worth of Worldwide Box Office Earnings
Resident Evil: Afterlife's absolutely massive $273.7 million worldwide box office earnings make it no surprise that a fourth installment in the franchise is in the works. With a $60 million budget, there's no doubt Sony is happy with this film's results.

The Expendables Worldwide Box Office Haul Pushes Past $250 million
Marching into theaters over two months ago, The Expendables has taken in more than $250 million worth of box office revenue, fueling rumors that  a sequel is on the way.  The throwback to 1980's action movies has earned $103 million domestically, and just over $150 million internationally.

Eat Pray Love -- Worldwide Gross Total's $180 million
It hit theaters more than two months ago, but it continues to rake in some serious revenue. As of now, Eat Pray Love has a huge worldwide box office gross totaling more $180 million, and it's very likely that it will soon pass $200 million as it continues to earn money from international territories.

With a budget of $60 million, I'm sure Sony Pictures is pleased with how the drama aimed at older females has performed at the box office.

Paranormal Activity 2 Scares Up $63 million Worldwide at the Box Office
After a mere three days of release, Paranormal Activity 2 already has a worldwide box office total of $63 million, a figure that will continue to grow at a rapid rate. With a $3 million budget, the horror movie is already a resounding success for Paramount Pictures.
